On Chervonoarmiyska Street, in central Kiev, you may walk right by this quaint exterior of stained glass windows. Some mistake the place for a small shop or clothing store, but a step inside astounds with amazing ambiance. It's easy to see why restaurant boasts the slogan "Good Mood Food". The Under Wonder has only been open over two years, but it has already established a reputation as the hidden gem in Kiev. The interior design is a Steam-Punk style, with velvet couches and chunky candelabras. The interesting décor itself is enough for a visit, but the 24 hour menu is also intriguing. Serving breakfast, lunch, dinner, and desserts, Under Wonder specializes in French and Italian cuisine. Everything prepared by Chef Volodymyr is fresh, never frozen, except their homemade ice cream. The food, the atmosphere, and the staff, all embody the idea that people not only go to restaurants to enjoy the food, but also to enjoy the whole experience. There are no televisions or loud music to distract from that philosophy. At night the restaurant works in the after party format - a cozy atmosphere, quiet communion in the city center for people who want to relax after a hectic party. Features of the restaurant - a summer terrace, which becomes one of the rooms in summer, and interior elements - "Table of plenty" in the center of one of the halls. It represented freshly baked bread, and additional seasonings and spices that can add flavor gamut of served dish.
The decor of the restaurant as well as the service was very good. Waiters speak English and are very polite and attentive. The restaurant offers two floors (smoking upstairs and non-smoking downstairs). If you want to get a good table next to the window upstairs, you should book in advance. They bake the bread themselves and it tastes great with oil and vinegar (you should ask for it though). I tried their baked Dorada fish. Was OK.
Атмосфера и в правду не принужденная, но мне там не очень понравилось, там такое все шебутное, а я люблю тишину и спокойствие.
